ETNA @ Duxton

We had a good time here.. Food is good, the boss is very friendly and he will walk around chatting up with his customers. A little stress for me because I am afraid he can't understand my Sing-lish since he is a Italiano....haaa

The food here is expensive of course.. 2 persons spending about $100 on 1 salad, 2 mains and 1 dessert.

Trying to take the fire for their Pizza...

Bread with olive oil and vinegrette:

Prosciutto e Melone $22
Slices lf Parma Ham on Rock melon: The Parma ham is not too saltish and the combination is superb. This is the best Parma Ham Rock Melon that we have had before.. =)))

Linguine al Granchio e Crema di Aragosta $24
Flat pasta with crab meat in pink lobster sauce: This is a regular dish that I would like to order whenever I visit Pasta places. The portion of crab meat is quite generous, but not the super chunky sort, which I had before at the restaurant at Changi Hotel. But this is a good dish to order if you like tomato cream sauce..

Risotto ai Porcini $23
Italian rice with porcini mushrooms in a light cream and parmesan cheese
Hmm....this is one of the best risotto I have eaten, the cheese is light but flavourful. The mushroom is very soft and 'silky' and melts in the mouth..However, I feel quite not worth it spending $23 on 'mushroom rice'. Top up with $2 you can order another risotto with prawns, or seafood risotto at the same price.. =)

Taste of the food? Quite obvious...

Their Specialty dessert:
Tiramisu al Pistacchio $10
Tiramisu with pistachio flavour (from Bronte in Sicily)
This dessert has no alcohol content and the pistachio shavings on the top is really quite unique. Have not seen such dessert elsewhere and the Pistachio is from Sicily (Italy)..haha.. So its a must-try ba.. =))

Great place to dine here on a special occasion! =)
Will visit again when I feel rich ..haha
